Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the OopsOut app and website. By using OopsOut you agree to them; if you don’t, please don’t use it. OopsOut is run by Crestline Create Digit Lab Ltd (“we”, “us”). How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Using OopsOut

You must be at least 13 to use OopsOut. If you’re under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use it. You can use the app as a guest or with an account. Keep your sign-in details safe — you’re responsible for what happens under your account — and give us accurate information.

OopsOut is for personal, non-commercial use by you and the people you live with.

Households

A household is a space shared by its members. If you create one, you’re its owner: you can rename it, remove members and delete it. Every member can add, change and delete anything in the household. Anyone who has your household’s invite code can join, so share it only with people you trust. Leaving a household removes your access to it; it doesn’t delete the household’s data.

Your content

What you add to OopsOut — items, photos, recipes, meal plans — stays yours. You give us permission to store, display and process it as needed to run the app for you and your household. If you choose to share a recipe to the community, you also let other users view, save and copy it, and you can make it private again at any time.

You confirm you have the right to add what you add, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

Community guidelines

Recipes shared to the community should be about food and kind to others. Don’t share:

  • anything illegal, or that encourages dangerous or harmful acts;
  • hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit content;
  • content that infringes copyright or someone else’s privacy;
  • spam, adverts or deliberately misleading content.

You can report any community recipe from the app and block a creator so you don’t see their recipes. We review the reports we receive and may remove content, and suspend or end accounts that break these guidelines.

AI suggestions and food safety

Recipes and item identification suggested by AI can be wrong. Always check ingredients, allergens, cooking times and safe temperatures yourself. Expiry dates, reminders and “running low” alerts depend on what you enter and are only aids — they aren’t a guarantee that food is safe. Check the packaging, and use your judgement. OopsOut doesn’t give medical or dietary advice.

Ads and other services

OopsOut shows ads served by Google AdMob. We don’t choose or endorse individual ads, and Google’s own advertising policies apply to them. If you see an ad you think is inappropriate, email cs@ccdigitlab.com and we’ll look into it. Product information comes partly from Open Food Facts, which is contributed by the public and may be inaccurate. Other companies’ services we link to or rely on have their own terms.

Changes and ending your use

We may update, change or stop features, and we can’t promise the app will always be available. You can stop using OopsOut at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the service.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability we can’t lawfully limit — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud — or your legal rights as a consumer. Subject to that, OopsOut is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for losses that weren’t a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, for loss of profit or business (it’s for personal use), or for decisions you make relying on AI suggestions or reminders.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use OopsOut after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, but if you’re a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
